NSW CHAMPIONSHIPS

Our own State titles are to be held over the Labour Day weekend October 1 - 4, 2010 at the Headquarters of Eastwood-Thornleigh District Tennis Association Inc, Pennant Hills Park, Britannia Street, Pennant Hills. There is plenty of accommodation nearby, so book any time. Nine age groups for men and four for women follow the pattern of the Australian titles. Unless the number of entries is too small, all Singles events are run as knock-out. The smaller fields and doubles have followed a round robin format in the past. All age Doubles events are run as "Knockout" events. Combined events - Round Robin.

BIG prizemoney  - the same as last year! Singles Winners $400 each, Finalists $200.

Our bumper entry of 286 players in 2009 was very encouraging to our new committee, and it is hoped that the numbers will be increased. Sydney's weather is bound to be better this year, which will enable us to arrange a social activity or two, after tennis. The marquee will again be a feature! Entry forms available SOON.

ACT Championships

These championships follow a similar pattern to NSW and are held at the Weston Creek Tennis Centre.

A Dinner Dance is held on the Saturday night .

Victorian Championships

These championships are conducted as knock-out events in singles but for all other events, the round robin format is used. They are held at Blackburn Tennis Club on en-tout-cas courts, on the first weekend of March.

Queensland Championships

These championships follow the Victorian model, with knock-out events only in singles and round robin for all doubles. They will be held at the Gold Coast Seniors Tennis Club on the first weekend of July.

The SA Championships are held after the Mildura Tournament, November, 6th - 9th at the SA Seniors Headquarters at South Parklands, Adelaide.
